After Party

Can't make it to the 5K walk/run around UD's campus? We'll miss you- but it's no problem! Join us for the after party at Eudora Brewing Co. We'll head there following the race and awards ceremony, so we'll most likely arrive around 11:30a-noon. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the brewery.

Please Note: The only official parking for Eudora Brewing Company is within their lot, in designated parking areas. Please do not park elsewhere in their lot, such as next to the patio or in the traffic path.

Please do NOT park at CVS, block the back loading area or park in front of a dumpster- you will be towed. After party guests are welcome to use the parking lots at 1404 Beaverton Dr. and Five Rivers Church (1450 E Dorothy Ln), thanks to the generosity of Eudora's neighbors. Please respect these lots and exercise caution while walking. We also encourage carpooling, ride sharing, and use of Eudora's bike rack!

Volunteers

If you signed up as a volunteer, THANK YOU! Please plan to arrive at Humanities Plaza at 9am and see Ashley Beach Garcher at the volunteer table for your assignment. Volunteer duties may include taking photos of happy walkers, runners, dogs, babies, the crowds, everything... capture the moments and then post to our Facebook group!

If you would like to sign up as a volunteer, simply reply to this email and we'll include you on the list!

Participants/Attendees

If you are walking or running the 5K, please show up early- between 9-9:30a to get your t-shirt and race chip. If you have friends or family who don't want to walk or run, encourage them to come out and cheer people on. Also... yes, our 5K is kid and dog friendly!

  • We will have bagels, coffee, fruit and granola bars.

  • We'd LOVE to see your photos from the event! Send them as a reply to this email, or send to hopeitsabeachthing@gmail.com. You can also post on Facebook to our group or event page.

  • Finally, forward this email to your friends and family! Let's get as many people as we can tomorrow to raise money and kick some brain tumor butt!
