Tim's Story

“This research is very close to our hearts and we have witnessed Dr. Reardon’s (Tim’s neuro-oncologist) passion toward it as well.

For those of you who are unaware, Tim passed away from a Glioblastoma Multi Form brain tumor at barely 53 years of age, in April 2012. After his initial surgery he was given 3-6 months to live, possibly a year with treatment. Through clinical trials and our knowledgeable physicians, we were blessed to have him for 21 months.

We HOPE that through research, others will survive this horrible disease and their families and friends will not have to suffer the loss of a husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, or friend. We personally know so many others affected by this disease and we HOPE that you will join us in this effort to help find a cure for brain cancer.”

Tim was full of hope, with strong faith. After surgery, he received a message from God that inspired him through his illness, and continues to inspire us today. He began writing on a website, journaling his thoughts about his faith and cancer journey. His inspiration in his writing, was matched by many people who followed our journey by logging in with their messages of encouragement.
